What is Form 2290?

Also, the IRS mandates filing the tax form if the vehicle exceeds 5,000/7,500 miles on the odometer in a calendar year.

The 2290 tax form is also known as the Heavy Vehicle Use Tax Return, Truck Tax Form, Heavy Highway Tax Return, etc. The IRS advises every trucking business owner/operator to file a “2290 truck tax” and use the truck on US public roads. Otherwise, your truck will be suspended, or the trucker might get jailed.
